Frequently asked questions

What is VampireVote?

A free werewolf-style party game you play with friends in the browser. It has two modes: an Among Us style online mode where you walk around a map, and an in-person mode where your phones act as the narrator while you sit in the same room.

Is it free?

Yes. In the future there will only be cosmetics such as hats. Nothing that gives an advantage in the game will ever be sold.

Do I need to download anything or sign up?

No. Open the site, type your name, pick a hat and play.

How many players do you need?

At least 4 and up to 20. If you are short, the host can fill empty seats with bots.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It opens in the browser on iPhone and Android, and it also works on computers and tablets. Players on different devices can join the same room.

How do I invite my friends?

When you create a room you get a 4-letter code, a link and a QR code. Share any of them and your friends land straight in your room.

What happens if my connection drops?

A bot instantly takes your place and the other players can’t tell. Come back from the same browser and you continue where you left off.

Can I join a game that has already started?

Yes, as a spectator. When the round ends you automatically become a player.

Can I play with strangers?

Yes. The open rooms list on the home screen shows rooms that are ready to join. Hosts can hide their room from the list.

Is there voice chat?

The game has text chat and quick reactions. Many groups playing online also run their own voice call alongside it.

How is it different from Among Us?

VampireVote is built on the classic werewolf rules: a night and day cycle, Doctor and Seer roles and an optional infection rule. It also has an in-person mode for playing in the same room. All of it runs in the browser with no download.

Which languages are supported?

English and Turkish. Switch with the EN/TR button on the home screen.
