A werewolf-style party game, free in your browser

VampireVote is the classic werewolf (also known as mafia) game, rebuilt for the browser with vampires. Create a room, send the 4-letter code or link to your friends and play with 4 to 20 people. It runs on phones, tablets and computers, and nobody needs an account.

Create a room

Play in three steps

  1. Create a room. Type your name, pick a hat and hit “Create room”.
  2. Invite your friends. Share the room code, the link or the QR code. Short on players? Fill the empty seats with bots.
  3. Bite, suspect, vote. Roles are dealt in secret. Vampires bite at night, the village debates by day and votes someone out.

Two ways to play

Online mode

Among Us style: everyone walks their own Mochi around the village. Vision is limited in the dark. Villagers do tasks while vampires wait for a moment without witnesses. Find a body, report it, then discuss and vote.

In-person mode

Sitting in the same room? The app becomes the narrator: it deals roles to every phone in secret, narrates the night out loud and runs the vote. No cards, no narrator, everybody plays. How the narrator mode works

Roles

All roles, how many vampires, and the infection rule

Three maps, twenty silly tasks

Milk the goat in the Village Square, polish a mirror that shows no reflection in the Count’s Castle, inflate a clown nose at the Night Carnival. Every task is a mini-game that takes a few seconds. Only real villagers can complete light tasks such as the lamp, the candelabra or the bulbs. When a vampire fakes one, the light stays off, and sharp eyes will notice.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play werewolf online?

Create a room at the top of this page and send the room code or link to your friends. Everyone joins from their browser, and when the host presses Start the roles are dealt in secret. Vampires bite at night; during the day everyone discusses and votes.

Is VampireVote free?

Yes, completely. In the future there will only be cosmetics such as hats; none of them give an advantage in the game.

How many players do you need?

At least 4 and up to 20. If you are short, the host can fill empty seats with bots.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. It opens in the browser on iPhone and Android, no app needed. It also works on computers and tablets.

Who wins?

The village wins when every vampire has been voted out (in online mode, also when all tasks are done). The vampires win when the living vampires equal or outnumber the living villagers.
